Banchory lacks a modern multi sports training area for community use.
There is a potential area for improvement. Situated on Dee Street, the existing facility is derelict and unused. Previously used primarily for football and tennis it has potential for upgrading to a multi use area.
Communication with Aberdeenshire Council has indicated that the community can seek ownership of the area.
The Vision
With full community consultation, Mac Architects have helped us to bring our vison alive.
The derelict MUGA will be regenerated to include:
- Two 5-a-side Football Pitches
- A Basketball and Netball Court
- A Tennis Court
- Two Padel courts
- Sports training facilities
