Meet the Team

Scott Birse has a BA (Hons) in Sport in the Community and taught P.E for 16 years. In 2013, he founded SB Fitness and is a full time fitness instructor. He also organises the annual ‘Run Banchory‘ event, initiated in 2019.

Graham Reid is Managing Director of Scotia Homes and a Chartered Surveyor. His career is marked by diversity, having worked across multiple sectors, including Commercial Property. He has held roles as Partner at Clydesdale Bank and the Head of Development for the North of Scotland at Savills Plc. He has extensive experience in both banking and consultancy.

Paul Wilson is a retired primary school Headteacher and is interested in all sports. He is currently president of the local tennis club and involved with Torphins Golf Club as match secretary. He is also involved in the local radio station, River Dee Radio.

Ally Reid has a MA (Hons) in Sociology, MSC in Marketing and PGDE(Primary). Ally worked for Marks and Spencer for several years in managerial positions and has taught across Aberdeenshire.

Sarah Stewart is a solicitor and has worked for over 18 years in both private practice and in house. She has a wide range of legal knowledge but particularly in property and planning which she has specialised in for over 16 years.
Role: Ordinary Member
Mark Williams is the Chief Operating Officer for Denis Law legacy Trust.  Leading the charity in areas of Aberdeen affected by deprivation, regeneration, and youth annoyance. Mark has provided opportunities for disadvantaged young people to thrive and move towards their own positive destinations in life.

Jenny Birse has a BSc in Speech and Language Pathology, PGDE (P) and Inclusive Education. She is an Additional Support for Learning Teacher. She joined the BOA committee in 2024 as treasurer to support community improvements and maintain the charity’s OSCR status.

Tony Stephen has been Minister of Banchory West Church since 2011. He understands the significant role that sports, and outdoor pursuits play in fostering the development and well-being of young people.

Nick Sangster (BSc MCIOB) is a construction industry professional, with a career spanning over 19 years, working predominately in Quantity Surveying and Project Management roles. He is a meticulous team member who is highly motivated and has experience in the development and leadership of teams, focusing on efficiency.

Aimee Tennant is a marketing expert with 20+ years of experience and a joint degree in Marketing and French, excels in creating strategies that drive brand growth and customer engagement. Her versatile sector experience ensures innovative and impactful results.

George Montgomery had a career of 42 years in London with the Metropolitan Police. Currently President of the Banchory Bowling Club. Role: Bowling Club Representative
Gordon Humble is retired having worked in the oil industry for over 40 years in various supply chain roles. He is also a past President of Banchory Bowling Club, and currently their Secretary and Match Secretary.
